My View: Oke-Odo Violence

Oke-Odo area of Lagos was thrown into pandemonium as a result of fight that broke out between some Hausa and Yoruba traders in the area.

The cause of the fight is really not very vlear, but one thing is clear we have not been able to deal with ethnic diversity as a country.

We are all Nigerians and co-habiting with other ethnic group is the way forward.

The Oke-Odo conflicts should be resolved as soon as possible and individual culpability should be established.

Those that fan the ember of violence should be made to face the music.

Child ill-use is barbaric.

The holy book says spare the rod and spoil the child. I am not aware of any religious book that admonish parents to abuse their children.

Child abuse is a criminal offence and people that are culpable should be made to face the music.

A lady was once caught in an ignoble act of locking up a child in a kennel. Parents have the responsibilities of  correcting their children with love.

I find it difficult to fathom what could make a father beat up his child to death, this is barbaric and condemn-able.

Let us speak against child abuse.
