Looking very closely you could see the torso of a dead soldier inside a  gutter. He was knocked down by a truck carrying granite.

Most of these heavy duty truck are not road worthy, yet they ply our roads on daily basis.

Articulated vehicles on our roads are accidents going somewhere to happen.

Nobody cares to ensure that these vehicles are road worthy before they are allowed to ply our roads.

Some roads carnage are due to negligence on the part of drivers and car owners.

Has any lessons be learnt? Stiff measures should be put in place to regulate activities of truck drivers on our roads.Poor vehicle maintenance is another issue, these truck owners make all the monies but they find it  very difficult to maintain their vehicle.

Now that the driver has been apprehended, he should be charged for manslaughter.

My View: Oke-Odo Violence

Oke-Odo area of Lagos was thrown into pandemonium as a result of fight that broke out between some Hausa and Yoruba traders in the area.

The cause of the fight is really not very vlear, but one thing is clear we have not been able to deal with ethnic diversity as a country.

We are all Nigerians and co-habiting with other ethnic group is the way forward.

The Oke-Odo conflicts should be resolved as soon as possible and individual culpability should be established.

Those that fan the ember of violence should be made to face the music.
